Chemical pregnancy?

I just found out this morning that I had a chemical pregnancy. They said my levels were almost negative and I have to get repeat bloodwork tomorrow. I’m coming to accept this but of course want to TTC again. The doctor said I should wait a full cycle. So how does this work after a chemical? Do you get your period again in a few weeks on time or does it take a while to come come back? Is the miscarriage the period? I know absolutely nothing about this...

I had a chemical in October 18 and bleed for close to two weeks. My period came back a few days past 5 weeks. It all depends on your body. I was 5 weeks 3 days

Consider the first day you had bleeding as the first day of your period—that’s what my doc said. Also, he said I could start trying to get pregnant immediately. I ovulated about 2 weeks after my 2 CPs. Good luck to you.

I just had a miscarriage at 6 weeks last month. I never got a dark positive and my HCG levels stayed low. He said it was barely even a miscarriage and he’d consider it a chemical. I started bleeding when my HCG levels went down to 6. He said it’d pass just like a regular period. The bleeding was very heavy and the cramps were crazy painful. I couldn’t even sleep after taking Aleve and had a heating pad on but that only lasted about 3 days. It only lasted a few days longer than a normal period. I’m 6 days to ovulation according to my app.
