My boyfriend just turned 17 and I’m almost, not quite 16. We’re actually in the same grade, and really I think that matters more than age. I’m assuming that the OP is one grade different from their partner? Once you hit two grades apart it does get a bit interesting given the different experiences they’re going through but as long as your personalities and maturity levels are similar you should be fine.
