Strip membrane?

Any ladies had their membrane stripped? My midwife wants to do it when I go back to the doctor on Wednesday. If so, how was it?

I’m having my sweep done on Wednesday by my OB, one week before due date and I was wondering the same about pain, bleeding, if labour happens quicker

Thought I was just getting a check yesterday morning but she did a sweep too. I had my bloody show this morning and have had more uncomfortable feelings down below, so it might mean I'm dilating more, but I haven't had consistent contractions yet.

I’ve had mine done twice so far and it hasn’t accomplished anything. I was 1.5cm both times. It didn’t hurt for me. Just felt like more pressure than a pelvic exam.

I did twice with my first. Both times were unsuccessful and pretty painful, but I was desperate to get her out. My cousin had hers stripped and had her baby the next day.
