When to tell family?

I’m 5 weeks pregnant and my husband & mom are the only ones who know. I was waiting to announce to family until after my first ultrasound (10 weeks) but now I feel like telling them. I kinda feel like if I have a miscarriage, I would rather have their support than them not knowing. What do y’all think? I know it’s up to me and my husband but I like to hear others opinions😊I’m gonna keep it off social media for as long as I can though!

Girl fuck it I found out at the hospital and me and my husband told everyone in our family that same weekend. We’re waiting until I’m atleast 8-10 weeks to post it on social media.

With our first we told our families around 7 weeks, now with this pregnancy we told them after having a positive pregnancy test! Our personal preference, they would be the ones to know if something happened anyways! 🤗 we are just overjoyed right now with another one on the way!

With both my pregnancies I told EVERYONE in my family within the first week.  I didn't feel afraid with the first one and I'm not afraid with this one.  
If you want to tell people, tell people!  It's your baby and your joy to share.

My first pregnancy, we told our close family around 6 weeks and I miscarried around 8. At the time, I kind of regretted telling them cuz then I had to share the bad news too. But it was nice to have their support going through that. My second, we told them after our 9 week scan. We will probably do the same this time.

It's really your decision... I know from experience, people ask about my pregnancy after a m/c.... 
Constantly re-lived the pain 
Hubby was the only support I really needed.. it was a pain only he and I could understand, because it was our child... 
Other women think differently, and I understand their points as well...

If you miscarry you can share that with people weather or not they knew you were pregnant. Id like to wait till we hear the heartbeat at 10 weeks so I can fully celebrate. When my mom died and I went back to work, everyone knew and kept looking at me with sad faces and patting my back, telling me to hang in there, etc. So if I miscarry, id like to control who knows because I could not stand all that pity when I was trying to have some normalcy.

I think you know yourself better than anyone. I know me, and I would hate giving explanations to people and watch the pain in my parents eyes that have been expecting a grandchild for years... but if you feel like you need support from your family don’t hesitate. Everyone is different and is not ever approach is good to all.

I am 6 weeks and told only my parents and closest siblings. I plan to tell the rest of my family after the 10 weeks US.
