Did you have stitches?

I'm on my fourth pregnancy and I've never torn or been cut but I have noticed that almost everyone/every article assumes you have stitches. So, I'm wondering if that's a reflection of how may people actually tear, or the advice is simply included becuase, hey, if you have stitches in your vagina/vulva, you could use a little love!

Almost tore from front to back, so the midwife cut me at last second. The hemorrhoids hurt more than the cut honestly.

with first baby i was cut.. after a week there was a gap at the stitches and guess what? i had to restich everything all over again! that was so painful that i rather given birth again than being restiched! i remember screaming at the doc's face as she was trying to uncut the sticthes and asked for a med so that i could passed out. horribly painful!

My first I had to be cut and there for needed stitches, all my others I tore naturally and it was fine enough to heal with out them.

My first baby I was cut & I tore 😭😩 but I didn't have any pain meds afterwards, I did get the epidural.

Each pregnancy for me was different, 1st one I tore, second one I got cut, third pregnancy I didn't tear or get cut. You don't want to tear or cut!!! I pray that the fourth pregnancy goes the same. My dr is amazing and she helped me! And I felt like a brand new woman who had never had a baby the next day after delivery! Amazing!!!
