Pumping tips for higher output?
Hi mamas! My baby is 5 months old and is EBF. At home we nurse but I do work, so she takes bottles of mama’s milk at daycare.
She has been consistently having 3-4 4oz bottles daily depending on her naps. Lately this has changed! For example yesterday, she had all four bottles and an additional 5oz by the time I picked her up!
So I’d like to send her with 5oz bottles but I am worried I will struggle to keep up with the pump at first! I try to send the freshest milk with her and only use frozen as a back up, so I need to be producing more each day with my pump!
I try to get in three 20 minute pump sessions each day and I typically get about 16oz.
What is your advice for increasing my supply for her? I know the obvious- drink tons of water, nurse as often as possible, etc. but what can I adjust with my pumping to maybe help with output?
Thanks in advance!!!
