I have disc problems and arthritis in my spine and I've taken pain medication the past several months every day. My OB doesn't want me to stop taking them nor withdrawl from them. My PCP has been prescribing them until now. They told me to go find a pain clinic. My body will soon be going through withdrawls due to being out. I'm extremely nervous for my baby. My OB said she can't do anything and for me to just go to the ER. She said my PCP had to prescribe them again but he refuses to do so. They told me it was my fault for missing my first appt with the clinic (I have no vehicle and my fiancé works crazy hours) which my new appt is now Oct. 12th. I can't afford another ER trip due to not being able to work because of my back. Anyone have any advice other than going to the ER? I'm almost positive they aren't going to do anything for me due to being pregnant. I don't want to be on my medication. I'd much rather be in pain than harm my baby. But I also don't want to out us both at risk with withdrawling.
