Hip pain!!! Chiropractor?!?

I will be 24 Weeks on Sunday. And I’m having the worse hip and lower back pain. Usually I have to take a warm bath to get some relief. I have a midwife appt in a week so I will be checking with her first. Has anyone gone to a chiropractor while pregnant? I know you can I’m just curious of your experiences. As well as if it was worth it? Thank you ladies!

I'm 25 weeks and have been going to the chiropractor regularly almost my whole pregnancy for hip pain. My OBGYN recommended a specific chiropractor because she only works with pregnant patients. Your midwife might have some recommendations on who you should see.

I go once a month. Before I was pregnant, I was going once a month from a previous injury. My hips rotate, so every month he puts my hips back in place. I stopped going when I first got pregnant because I was getting PIO shots in my back, and it hurt too much when anyone touched my back. I started going to my chiropractor again at around 18 weeks. It helps keep everything in line which my doctor says will make labor easier. Just make sure that whatever chiropractor you go to knows you are pregnant and knows how to crack a pregnant woman. They do have to make some adjustments to how they crack you as your stomach grows.

Yes do it! I have had the worst SI joint pain and hip pain. I have been seeing a chiro 2x a week for the past month and it has been amazing for me. Make sure u find someone who specializes in certain techniques for pregnant woman. My chiro only sees prenatal patients so shes been a wealth of knowledge. I also work at a physical therapy office so between that and the chiro I've had so much pain relief!

I would try a physical therapist before a chiropractor. My OB referred me to one when I first got pregnant and it’s helped so much for my back and hip pain. They do massage and give you exercises to help strengthen where your body is not use to using muscle because everything is different now that your pregnant.

All chiropractors are trained to work with pregnant women by using the Webster technique. There are chiropractors that have gotten special certifications to work on pregnant women. I go to one once a week and swear by it. I also go and get a massage once a month with a prenatal masseuse and the combination of the 2 has been wonderful.

I’m currently 25 weeks pregnant and am going to the chiropractor about once every 2 weeks. Helps keep my pelvis in line which helps me not have sciatica pain and keeps my back pain to a minimum. Absolutely recommend!

Yikes, be careful with chiropractors if you are going to see one 🤦🏽‍♀️ they messed up my friends neck. You should try physiotherapy they give you tips to take home to.
