When can baby eat chicken?

Hey girls! Just wondering when can baby start eating meats. He is currently 6 months and I was told I could do it but I feel like he's still too young. What are your suggestions and if you already do give baby chicken/ other meats how do you prepare/cut it up for them to eat.

Recommended age for meats here is as early as 4 months after trying a variety of fruits and veggies. Mine had it at 4 months. But she wasn’t a fan lol. The only meat she’s okay with is beef

My almost 7 month old eats chicken, pork and fish. We just break off small, easy to chew pieces for her and she does just fine!

I puréed chicken breast. Just cooked it in no sodium added chicken broth and puréed it. I’m sure you could do it with BLW too.

When I give it to my baby(just turned 7 month) it is either shredded or is is a chunk the correct size for him to hold and naw on

My son LOVES chicken. It’s his favorite protein. I break off tiny pieces and he chews himself. But I’m following baby led weaning so he knows what to do with food chunks in his mouth. I never did purées so now if I try giving him anything puréed (like a soup I was eating or hummus) he HATES it. 
Also be aware that with baby led weaning and giving baby solid foods gagging is totally normal and nothing to be afraid of! In fact its strongest around this age which is actually perfect for introducing solid foods bc it helps prevent choking. My guy is 6 months now and has been getting solids for a month and a half now (earlier on it was more like tastes and small bites to sample food not really meals) but he rarely gags anymore!
