Spotting or AF?

Hey ladies,

​I'm on CD31 now (previous cycle of 32 days and 31 before that). Noticed spotting yesterday, and my CM is still a bit red today (but it's not a heavy flow like AF).  It doesn't look or feel like AF (no cramps and none of the usual signs that it's coming).
​
​I don't really know what to make of it, so what do you think? If it is spotting, what does that mean exactly?
