Flu shot???

I had a doctors visit today and doctor recommend flu shot? I've never had a flu shot before so I'm a little skeptical.. Any thoughts?? I'm due in April

It's highly recommended because being pregnant lowers your immune system as it is. And you do NOT want the flu, I promise you that. Ever since I got the flu in 2009 after not getting the shot, I get the shot!

I haven't had it in many years but they highly suggested it. You can't really take medicine while you're pregnant and if you get the flu you'll be miserable. I did end up getting the vaccine. I would definitely get it if I were you!

The flu can be very harmful for your baby because it usually involves a high fever.

My doc said so long as it's a "non-live" one, you're fine. Got mine during my first visit.

The year that I forgot to get the flu shot I got a bad pneumonia, the one that I didn't knew if I was coming or going. I'm taking the shot every yr.
