Miscarriage Wonders?

I’m just curious why so many ladies are nervous about a miscarriage and many have never experienced one before. It gets kind of depressing looking on the app. And I am NOT talking about the women who have already experienced a miscarriage previously.

Probably because 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage. That’s a high number for a person to not worry.

Because honestly that’s so much of what you see. There’s far more stories and things of miscarriage on apps like this than healthy ptegnancies I feel. I’ve never had a miscarriage but still terrifies me. When you want a pregnancy so much you don’t want to lose it even if you’ve never experienced that before. And when it seems like it’s everywhere I think the chances feel inflated.

Honestly I think that’s just more of what’s posted, and not really representative of most peoples’ experiences. So like I’m not gonna post “hey I’m just over here chilling and not worrying about a miscarriage today.” You’re going to get posts mainly when people are feeling worried or when something is/might be wrong. That’s why you see a lot of miscarriage posts too. It’s not that there is a higher rate of people having miscarriages in this forum than in the general population. It’s just that someone is going to reach out for support if they are going through a rough time.

Its scary too me, ive never experienced it and hopefully never will, im finally in my 8th week of pregnancy half way through but still scared cause anything can happen in any time😩 shit every time I wipe im afraid blood will show even when im fine😩 im also nervous about first ultrasound but just got to keep praying and move forward until first trimester ends and im excited for that cause i wont worry as much. Aint trying stress much either just got to think positive and being happy!

Miscarriage is something not often talked about in day to day life. Every woman, even those who have never experienced it, can still be at risk especially when in early pregnancy. The farther along, the more your chances of having a miscarriage decrease.

I have had one and I feel its natural to worry rather you have or not. Thats like saying a mother who has never lost a child to SIDS shouldn’t worry about it. The situation itself is scary and to know that you are carrying a baby after ttc that you have 1/4 chance of losing spontaneously.

I’ve had 2 very healthy pregnancies before this so I’m not worried. My bf is paranoid about it but he was convinced he couldn’t have kids at all so now he just expects something to go wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️
