Best nappies and baby wipes, from your experience?

First time mum here, due in 3 months. Obvs everyone has an opinion on which brand is best, but can't seem to work it out.
If you have a fav I'd love to hear, but also what it is that makes them better (or what's wrong with others by comparison)

A lot of the parents I know swear by Aldi and Asda own brand. Aldi have won awards. I shop there so they are the ones I’m going to use. As for wipes I’m going to use reusable ones called cheeky wipes. You just make a box up with water and the oil you get with them so then wash them after. It’s my little way of trying to be green but when out and about I’ll just use the Aldi ones. Personally I feel like most things brands are all to do with advertising and there all much of a muchness.

I personally like Huggies Snug & Dry. 
My little one had digestive issues for a while and these were the only diapers that really seemed to hold it all in. 
Also Pampers Sensitive Wipes. They don’t have fragrance or anything. We tried a different brand because we ran out of the Pampers wipes and used some someone bought us for our baby shower and they irritated my little one’s bottom. The Pampers Sensitive Wipes have never given us problems 😊

I used Pampers only at first.    Huggies did NOT work for my son lol.  They didnt fit very snug around his little legs and poop splosion would always happen.    Once he got a bit older i used luvs during the day and pampers at night.  Hes always slept longer stretches at jight and luvs just wouldnt hold it

We use Aldi nappies - they are the ones that leak the least and don’t have that ‘hay’ smell. Oh and they’re cheap!
Wipes, we use water wipes for bottoms, and I just use a Muslin and water for hands and face. Water wipes are very wet, but others I feel leave a weird film on the skin. Sometimes I squeeze the water out of them if I feel they’re too wet.

I like up and up for the price. I hated Luvs because they felt like paper. I can use Pampers or Huggies, just wouldn't buy them myself.
I like Pampers wipes because they're portable. I like Huggies because they come with a box to put them in and it's convenient for the house.
