Is Caterina too Spanish sounding for a white baby, even though it’s Italian and matches our last name?

Catalina is actually the Spanish form and Caterina is Italian and also a form of the Greek version, both of which my husband is. But he got all recessive jeans and I am white. Our last name is Italian (Prato) but our baby could very well come out blonde hair blue eyes and freckles. We love Caterina but everyone else says it sounds too Spanish for us.

yea I honestly hate when people say names are "too white" "too Mexican " too whatever, if you like the name, go for it. Someone tried telling me my sons name,Kendrick, was "too black for a Hispanic baby" and I about punched them

Go for it. Names are names. We live in a society where if we all did those dna test to see our ancestry we would all have something besides just white,just Latino,just Asian,or just black. We as humans have become a melting pot despite our physical appearances.

My family is primarily Hispanic/Mexican and they told me Jacob (my first sons name) and Jayden (my second sons name) are too "white". They really expect me to be a cliche and name them something incredibly Hispanic. It's whatever you like. Whether it sounds too much of anything else.
