Diaper genie worth it?

So one of the last items I wanted to buy before baby boy gets here in a little over a week, was a Diaper Genie. Are they worth getting?

We have 5 dogs, and one of them is constantly trying to get into the trash, even though we have raised the whole trash can about 3 feet up on a pedestal lol. Last time I had to change diapers was almost 12 years ago with my daughter and the dog we had was always getting into them, it drove me nuts.

Do you think this would help keep him out since the odor would be less?
