Camera for toddler's room?

Question

My daughter is about to move into her big girl bed in a new room. We will be using her old room, crib and baby monitor for our newborn who is due in a few months. 
Does anyone put a camera into their toddler's room? If so which type? What features are important? 
I don't like the thought of not being able to check on her or hear her like I can with the baby monitor. I'm a worrier.

Exercise caution with any system that is connected to the internet.  These types of systems have been hacked into, giving strangers the ability to spy on your kids and talk to them.

We have the infant optics dxr-8 & I love it. You can add up to 4 cameras onto one monitor & scan between the cameras. It has 2 way talk & you can change lenses for your individual needs (wide angle, zoom, etc). P.S. I have 2 daughters, one is 10 months & the other will be 3 in August & is in a big girl bed.

Make sure you have one that can zoom in and out and pan around the room because I promise she won’t stay in the same spot lol. I think 2-way talk is a plus too because you oh can talk to her through the monitor instead of having to go in the room. 
Not sure how much money you’re looking to invest but they also have monitors that you can “expand” and have more than 1 camera go the the same parent unit so you could see both kids on the same monitor. Depending on which one you currently have, it could already be an option to do that if you’re happy with that one.

My son just turned two and wet still have the video monitor in there from when he was a baby.  We just switched him into his toddler bed a week and a half ago.  The monitor we use is the Summer Infant Pixel.  Had been working great, also things I like about it are that I can pan the camera from the handset, it has a temp display SO I know if his room gets too warm or cold, I can also talk to him too.  So if he gets out of bed I can tell him to get back in.  We also just bought a Hatch Rest noise machine/light.  It has different colors so when it turns green he knows he can get out of bed.  You can set nap times and bedtimes, program it from your phone, and has the noise machine built in.  It's been awesome! For reference, we got rid of the video monitor with my daughter when she was 3, felt like we didn't need it for her.  We'll see with my son lol.

Yes!  We monitor our sons’ room.  We have a one year old with a 5 year old.  Let’s us know what’s happening by rewinding so no fibs can be told.

We have an Amazon cloud cam. I can watch it from my phone or my show,  covers the whole room in the corner so no need to pan, it does zoom and has 2 way talk. When my son is older I can repurpose into security camera. I liked it better then just a camera baby monitor.

My niece is 7 and I’m pretty sure her parents still have the two way video monitor. From what I understand, my niece is the only one who uses it anymore to talk to them when she’s in bed. They stopped looking in when she was around 5.
