When do cervix checks begin?

This is my 2nd pregnancy but I had a planned c-section with my first (breech since 31 weeks) so I never had a cervix check. I don't remember how far along i was though when they thought I was going to have one. Will be 29 weeks tomorrow and my next appointment is in 2 weeks. Also, wanna have my lady bits shaved before then 😂. No one told me I had to be shaved before the c-section and I had a full on bush that the nurse SHAVED for me in front of my mom and aunt. I'm STILL mortified by that y'all. Definitely don't wanna be hairy for the checks
