Tubal Ligation

Hey ladies! I am considering having a tubal ligation done after the birth of my second child. I am 30 and my husband and I discussed it and we are done having kids, between it taking forever for us to concieve, the miscarriages and that I have tough pregnancies with gestional diabetes and blood pressure issues. We decided 2 kids will complete our family. My question is what is the downside? I have read so many different horror stories about weight gain, pain, loss of sex drive and I wanted to hear some real stories of issues or if all went well and no issues.
