Tips for hooded eyed

I can do my makeup, but I struggle A LOT with eyeshadow. I have small eyelids and hooded eyes, so it’s a double wammy. I always end up sticking to one color on my lids like the picture below. It seems every time I try to be creative, its too far up or just looks like a blob of colors because I don’t have much room to work with. I can’t manage do a cut crease because the moment I open my eyes, the eyeshadow thats on my lid will transfer to the hood of my eyes. Please give me any tips or tricks you use if you’ve had the same issue! 😊
