Should i ask him?

I've had this problem with trying to get a place for myself, my boyfriend/baby daddy, and the baby. I'm honestly scared that marriage is out of the question :( I may be young (19) but I still believe that we should engage towards it. He always tells me that he loves me and that he'll never leave. I'm just wondering if I should go ahead and bring up the subject. So nervous 😱

Um, not to sound crazy or anything, but you're having a baby with this man. If you can't talk to him about LIFE plans then why are you even with him? You're a team and if he's not willing to allow a conversation with you about your lives and you're AFRAID to talk to him that's not a good sign at all. You're the mother of his child. If he bails because you brought up marriage then you need to be thanking your stars because he's not a man at all and when shit gets really tough for you guys when the baby gets here he wouldn't have stayed. So yes, talk to him. Never be afraid to speak to your significant other about anything. Seriously.

I'm 26 and so is my SO. I straight up told him I want to at least be engaged by the time the baby comes. We have been through so much in past 2 years. I am not going anywhere, and I know he isn't either. But, I'd still like to make steps toward making it official. ;-)

If I married the man I was with and thought I was in love with at 19, Id be a divorced mess by now. I think you should wait until the baby arrives and see how things go. 19 is super young. Your brain isn't even fully formed until 25. Clinically speaking this impacts decision making skills. I think you should take a step back and wait. Hormones from pregnancy are crazy. It's not time for this type of decision

A baby isnt the reason to get married.  19 is really young...and I mean that in the most non judgy way.  If you weren't pregnant and you would want to get married now, then talk to him about it, but if not just wait.  Not being married doesn't make him not the dad.  And it doesn't mean he doesn't love you.

I agree that you should bring it up just so that he can take it into consideration but yes, don't force it. Let it happen naturally bc you wouldn't want him to feel unready and that you forced the issue. Lots of couples have this issue where they force marriage (or something else) on their spouse & just to get the person off their back the spouse does it out of reaction. It causes problems later though. Let him get ready but reassure him that time is the essence ;) I'm 21 & my hubby is 21. We've been married for only 2 months & are now expecting our first child but I sort of made a mistake by forcing marriage on him. He was ready but I was a little over excited . Things worked out though. :)

I would! I don't think it's wrong to ask if it's on the table, especially when you're having a baby together. Make sure he knows you're not pushing for it right now cause that's not really cool but yeah. I had that talk with my boyfriend when we found out we're expecting. 😊😊😊😊

Maybe discuss in general but don't pressure it. If and when he does ask you will want it to be a complete surprise. And special. Definitely let it be known that marriage will be a part of your future and let him decide if he wants to be the man to do it.
