Pediatrician said 4m-old should sleep through the night

Has anyone’s pediatrician said that your baby shouldn’t need to eat in the middle of the night? My daughter is only four months old. She used to be a great sleeper, sleeping at least 6-8 hours and then 11 hours straight. Then out of nowhere she doesn’t sleep longer than three hours at a time for the past two weeks.

I mentioned to the pediatrician that I had read about sleep regression, and her answer was that she didn’t see any reason for my daughter to have a sleep regression.

I don’t particularly dislike this doctor but she sometimes says things that leave me puzzled.

She also said, “If she’s not eating enough during the day then maybe you’re not producing enough breast milk.” Like, why would she say that? Her weight gain is good. I don’t want to get in my head and get all crazy worrying about my milk supply when my daughter is good with what she eats.
