Husband dropped a bombshell this morning...

I don’t even know where to put this, so I apologize if it’s in the wrong group!!!

I need advice or maybe just vent? I don’t know. I’m sick to my stomach about this...

Before my husband left for work this morning, he said “I’m being sued by ________ for $20k”

WHAT!

First of all, I have NO clue who that person is or why he was suing!

I asked what he was suing for... he said “I couldn’t pay him back!” I have no idea how much he borrowed or even when!

I asked why would be suing him for that much. No answer.

I tried to get more information about it and all he said was “get a fucking job”....

I’m a SAHM and we do okay financially. I wouldn’t be opposed to getting a job except that our youngest still wakes up several times a night and my husband is a heavy sleeper! Imagining my baby crying for hours because his dumb ass won’t wake up for shit, makes me ill.

Anyway, back to the lawsuit...

He won’t answer my texts or calls so I can find out what the hell is going on, who this person is and what our next steps are.

I’m terrified my husband will go to jail for this. We don’t have money to be sued!! What if we end up homeless?! I’m sick to my stomach about this whole thing. I’m supposed to protect my kids and I feel like I’ve failed as a parent because of my husbands mistake 😭
