New Baby AND Puppy?!?

I have a soon to be 5 month old at home. My brother-in-law is offering us a puppy for FREE! The offer is tempting as I’ve always wanted a dog, but would it be too crazy for us to accept it? Has anyone had a puppy and new baby at the same time? How hard is it?

I think you would regret it. It will poop and pee all over the house and your baby is getting to the age where they will be mobile soon. They also bite with their sharp puppy teeth and I would be too scared to set my baby down

I did. Kept it for mayyybe 4 days and gifted him to my sister. Puppies need a lot of attention especially if you plan to potty train (if you aren't then you're disgusting lol). Puppies aren't quiet either even at night and they like to chew on things so make sure you puppy proof. Especially binkys and bottles. They can get nippy so keep a close eye on it around your daughter. 
As tempting as it is..  think of the cons.

If you have enough time and patience to do it then go for it. It will definitely be a lot of work. But puppies learn quickly. 
What breed is the dog?

We got a puppy when my daughter was 8 months. It’s now 2 months and they are the best of friends. I also have a 5 year old and 3 hear old. It was hard work but totally worth it all my kids love the puppy.

We got a puppy a week before finding out I was pregnant. We weren’t super thrilled lol but we already have her. We wouldn’t just give her away. She’ll be a 9-10 month old pup when our son is born and she’s pretty rowdy, but we love her.
However, we wouldn’t have gotten a puppy if we had found out I was pregnant beforehand. Too much work! Lol.

Don't do it! I had a two month old baby and then decided hey!!! Let's gets this two month old husky pup!!! It was a struggle, doesn't help that it was also winter when we did it. Between being up with baby and getting up to take the pup out to do her business I was exhausted. 🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️ DON'T DO IT!!

Thank you guys for your comments/advice. In the end we did not get the puppy. My brother in law found someone who wanted the dog and could tale it home ASAP. I guess that took out the equation of us deciding! Honestly though I am a bit relieved we did not get a dog at this time. We are remodeling/fixing up some things at home and they inconsistency and noise would not have been good. Like I said, thank you again for your words!
