So this isnt a confession but I need y'alls opinion. So I'm currently 15, will be 16 soon & going to be a sophomore. So I just got my first smart phone this year, and before that I had a crappy flip phone. Well I wasnt allowed to text my friends, it was only for emergencies. I wasn't allowed to text my friends till 8th grade. Also this year I had my first bf, and my dad told me I could only text him a couple times a day cause texting a person of the opposite gender shouldn't be a thing I'm doing. Well my little brother, who is 12 and going into the 7th grade, already has a smart phone & has been texting a girl and my dad doesn't care at all, even my mom has brought it up. And I have brought it up to my dad that I think its kinda unfair that he already has a smart phone and let alone is allowed to text girls when I'm not allowed to text boys. Is it just me or does this seem a little unfair or off? Please comment what you think of the situation. Thanks!

Edit: Im not the oldest kid. I have an older sister whom he did this to also. And no my mom has no say in anything in the family, its my dads way or the high way, this is why he doesn't understand girls points of view.
