Strong as a mother ❤️

Progress, progress, progress.

1 year postpartum and feeling better now than I did before I was pregnant.

Before I got pregnant, I never went to the gym. I didn’t want to look muscular and “manly”. I use to just run all day long and eat healthy. I weighed 115lbs before pregnancy.

During my pregnancy, I was a stay at home wife. I mainly cleaned and cooked, prepared for the baby, and took care of the dogs. I ate absolutely whatever I wanted and never went to the gym, just an occasional walk. At the end of my pregnancy I weighed 175lbs ( I had a 9lb baby )

After giving birth I realized my body changed so much. A few days after we got home, I decided to weigh myself. I came in at about 145lbs. That’s when I got into fitness. I remember walking into the gym 2 months postpartum and not knowing what to do. The weights intimidated me and I didn’t know how over half the machines worked. I did what I knew, I ran, did core work, and only did legs. I soon became confident enough to work my upper body and actually use weights. I learned proper form, better nutrition, and soon my big girl muscles came in. I now weigh 125lbs! That’s when I fell in love with my new body, my new lifestyle.

I was a stay at home mom for awhile so the gym was a release.
