Anatomy scan was done Friday, should I wait for my appointment to get my results or call and see if they can write it down and give it to me?

I called the next day and asked for my results. Which I thought was strange because they did find a minor abnormality in the kidneys and weren’t going to tell me about until my next appointment?

I went to a different place for my anatomy scan, and from what I’ve heard, your actual doctor will go over the scans and check them out by themselves. I’d assume if something were to be “wrong” they’d have you come in immediately for more scans or talk about what they’ve found. My doctor hasn’t called me but I did have an appointment already 2 weeks after my anatomy scan, so I’m assuming next week he’ll go over my results with me. Fortunately my mom who had an ob and maternity rotation volunteered to go with me and she said everything looked normal and was measuring well so it gave me peace of mind. But I’m still a bit anxious for next week! Apparently because the ultrasound tech isn’t my actual ob, she can’t legally give me results due to HIPAA laws.
