Que: TOTAL FREAKOUT MODE

Long story short, I had an emergency c-section with my first daughter 5 years ago. I don’t have ONE negative thing to say about my surgery or recovery. It was completely painless, I never needed anything stronger than an ibuprofen, and 12 hours post surgery I was up walking comfortably and never had anything more than the SLIGHTEST “soreness”. My scar is small and barely noticeable. Needless to say, it was an incredible experience. Well my OB used dissolvable staples and glue on my incision, it was done beautifully. Fast forward, I am scheduled for a c-section next Saturday with our second daughter. Didn’t even bat an eyelash because my first experience was so amazing! Asked my OB today (not the same one) what he would use to close the incision to which he replied STAPLES!! I about fell off the damn table. I said STAPLES!? And he went into why they are the best option as opposed to sutures or glue. He SAID that he would do whatever I wanted him to but his professional recommendation is staples. So I guess my question is, who has had staples following their c-section and what kind of experience was it? Pain wise and scarring wise? I was beginning to get a little anxious about the surgery but now I’m in full on panic mode 😳
