Measuring ahead?

I was recently diagnosed with GD and told I am measuring almost 3 weeks ahead. Did many of you experience this? And was it due to wrong due date or the GD?

I always measured a couple weeks ahead. I had GD and had my son at 41 weeks and he was only 7lbs 13oz so not huge by any means and that was a week overdue

i was always measuring 2 weeks ahead. I had him @ 38 week 04 days & he was 21 Inches 7 Lbs 14 Oz lol. He's 10 Weeks now , 23 inches 16 Pounds 😂

Yeah my baby doubled in 2 weeks once diabetes was controlled it slowed right down, she even lost some x

Sometimes GD causes a condition called polyhydramnios (which means excess amniotic fluid). That could be contributing to the measuring ahead of the fundal height. I was measuring 2 weeks ahead for the last few months of my pregnancy because I had extra fluid. My baby was 8lbs 12oz which is normal for me (previous babies were 8lbs 9oz and 8lbs 6oz respectively)

I was always measuring ahead with my little girl, that’s how they discovered I had GD. I had to be induced at 38 weeks due to her size and she was born 8lb 1oz so she could easily have been a 10 pounder had I gone to my due date. She’s now almost 7 months old and she’s a little dot with plenty of room left in 3-6 months clothes. GD does make your baby big but they find their way back to the size they should be naturally themselves.

Did you measure ahead at your first ultrasound?  I think the earlier measurements are more accurate for conception dating, because later on the baby could be bigger for it's age.
