Do y’all think this is okay?

Of course I’m going to tell my boyfriend, but I want opinions first.

This is my second serious relationship, first was 6 months this one has been over a year. I’m engaged.

One of my best friends is a guy and we usually don’t hang out outside of school, but we decided we wanted to tomorrow. In my other relationship (it was very abusive) my boyfriend would get mad if I even texted another guy. I’ve hung out with my guy friends in a group setting but never one on one and I would be jealous if my boyfriend hung out with a girl one on one. I feel like this is a bit different because we’ll be at a mall and I’ve been best friends with him for like five years. Is it okay? Forgive me if it’s a little stupid, like I said I’ve only been in an abusive relationship so this all is a little new to me.
