Are you ladies getting your flu shot?

I think I'm getting mine but it's a bit scary to think of any side effects it could have for me or my baby so I'm thinking if it would be too irresponsible to get it after the baby is born on mid November....any thoughts? Advice?

I never get them and not going to third year either. I am not against it but I never have gotten the shot or the flu. So I'm not fixing what isn't broken :)

Absolutely! I want to give my baby the best chance when he is born and he needs at least 2 weeks for the flu shot to pass to him.

My doctor told me to get it ASAP!!! I am 32 weeks pregnant!! He said he will not harm the baby!! If anything it will keep me and baby safe and healthy!!!

Still undecided. I asked my doc if I should get it and he said it's really up to me, although he doesn't love them for multiple reasons. If anything it's to Keep the baby safe once they're born.

My baby is due on thanksgiving day and my doctor told me that I should and will need to get the flu shot before she is born! I hate the flu shot, to be honest, I haven't had one in a very long time because that darn thing makes me sick and the last thing I need is feeling like I have the flu and I'm pregnant on top of that!!!

Update - had my Dr checkup this morning. She said even though I wouldn't normally get one she does suggest I do. Baby will be born in winter when germs abound so it's safer to just do it. Ask your own Dr of course but it does seem to be the consensus!

Its mandatory at my work to get the flu shot. I'm getting it next week.

I'm not getting it. I have horrible reactions to the flu shot so it's been 4 years since my last one.

Just got mine yesterday. I weighed the pros and cons and decided since I live with someone who works in a public school, and the babe is due in the middle of November it was best to do it. Helps get the antibodies started in your system to pass to the baby. Also, I had swine flu about 3 years ago, which was terrible. I really am trying to make it through this pregnancy without getting sick.
