Came Out
So today I came out to my mom as bisexual. I am 13 years old and have known for about a year now. I came out because she found these LGBTQ+ pins in my room and was confused. My dad is Catholic but overall my family isn’t religious and my parents are fine with the LGBTQ+ community. Anyways, I told her that I’m bisexual and she laughed. I asked why she laughed and she told me that she thinks I’m too young to know I’m bi. I told her that most people begin questioning their sexuality at this age because of puberty and stuff. She then began asking me if I even had a girl crush and how she thinks I just appreciate women’s beauty. I talked with her more and she kind of came around but she told me not to come out to my school friends and just wait a year or two to see if I still feel the same way. I’m just really confused. I don’t think she has any problem with me being bi, I just think she doesn’t believe it. I’m really confused and kinda sad because I was planning to come out to my friends and family but this happened. What do you guys think about this?
