Telling your job
I work in an office of politics & fake acting people. Lots of usual office gossip & drama. Anyway, the only people that know about my pregnancy are my supervisor, & two other leaders in the office. I've been wearing looser shirts to hide my belly. Not ashamed but I just feel like if I'm going to share news I want the reactions to be genuine. There's one lady in particular who just gets jealous & gossipy. She's played "timekeeper" on people & complained about who comes in late. She's even commented on times that I've called off (thanks morning sickness!) Shegets nosey & told a friend of mine in the office things I should & shouldn't do when I'm an adult. It's none of her business. She gets upset when my husband sends me flowers at work & has commented on "how we could afford the rock size of my wedding ring bc my husband can't be making that much" according to her. Her husband (& mine) r both in the military but she felt entitled bc my husbands rank is lower than hers. Mind you, my husband & me are 21. She's 45 & her husband is like 55 or something. Btm line: she doesn't know what else my husband does for a living & it's really none of her business. Little things like this makes me not wanna share great news. Ppl are judgmental around here. Am I wrong for not sharing the news? Should I announce it? Or should I wait & let ppl begin to see my stomach & tell them as they ask? I really don't wanna say anything. I'm very much reserved & quite the introvert & they all know that im a private person.
