Should I tell my dad?

My brother ( 14, soon 15 ) smokes, vapes and uses snuff and my dad doesn’t know because he would be pissed off if he did it. So he hasn’t told him, but my mom knows. He is getting a car soon even though he can’t take the driving test yet. 
We were supposed to go on vacation with my cousin but instead he is getting that car for the money. 
I want to tell my dad to bust his ass because he is always an asshole to me and I want to give him karma and I really want to go on a vacation. My mom thinks that it would be really mean and she thinks I shouldn’t to it. What do you think??

Your mom knows her 14 year old is doing all of that and isn’t taking care of the situation? Tell him because it’s dangerous. Not to “bust his ass.” This shouldn’t be about getting him in trouble, but getting him safe.

I believe I’d be talking to my Mom. It’s irresponsible of her to allow her teenage son to do all those things and keep it from her husband, (his father.) Mom needs to tell her Husband what she knows so that they can address the situation with their son. I’d tell my Mom flat out, “If you don’t tell him, I will.” It’s just so wrong for her to keep his father in the dark, and for her to be contributing to your brother’s delinquency. Several kids and adults of all ages have died vaping or have suffered major and severe injuries. If your Mom refuses to tell your Dad, then you need to follow through and tell him. But only if she refuses to tell him. And you also need to be prepared to face any consequences you may for spilling the beans. If that means you can’t go on vacation, oh well. You can go on vacation yourself! If your parents end up fighting over this, your Mom has only herself to blame and if your brother gets mad, again, oh well... it’s not the end of the world, and it definitely won’t be the last time someone gets mad at you for doing the right thing. But for right now, I think you should talk to you Mom and give her an ultimatum! Tell your Father the truth, or you will. She needs to be a parent, not an enabler! And your Father has the right to know! She has no business keeping that from him! That’s his son too! Don’t tell just to get him in trouble, do it for the right reasons instead. 1.)Your Father has the right to know. 2.)Your Mother is enabling your brother. And 3.) Your brother is a child and smoking and vaping are dangerous. He needs help. But do give your Mom a chance to right her wrongs! A day or two is plenty of time for her to sit down and talk to her son, and his Father. And then they can work it out as a family.
