How long should naps be?

FTM, Baby is 7wks old (very healthy 13lbs) and wondering if there is a maximum length for a nap? Or let sleeping babies lie? Thanks

Most pediatricians and baby sleep experts recommend that you do not allow a daytime nap to go beyond 3-4 hours when they are that young because they need to be eating regularly, but also so they don’t get day/night confusion. At night however let them sleep away (unless they stop gaining weight appropriately)! 😃

I NEVER woke up my sleeping baby. At first its fine to let them sleep. Mine eventually figured out the difference between night and day. Waking a sleeping baby is so dumb lol they need sleep just as much as they need food...

Lol. I just had to say it, my son will be 4 months old on the 13th, and is only now 13 pounds. Lol. 
Anyways, T that age, we met him sleep when he wanted to sleep. At about 10 weeks we started trying to stimulate and regulate his naps to make night time easier. 
He’s now to a point where he sleeps 830pm to 445 am. Which works well for us, because it gives me time to feed him before we have to get ready for work at about a quarter after 5, cause we leave at 545 am for work, daycare, school, etc..
