I need some help. Education please.

So I have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes. My blood sugars in the morning have been 123 last night after dinner it was 153 my levels have been high. After eating I should be 120 and after sleeping I should be 95 or so. Well last night I took my first shot of insulin 10ml I took it at 4am when I went to bed and woke up at 10:30 and tested that's when I got the 123.. did I do something wrong? Did I test to soon? Does it seem like I'll need more than 10ml at night?

I may have the ml mixed up with something else. IDK right what the measurements are.
