colicky baby or baby with acid reflux?

Any one have a newborn diagnosed or with suspected colic or acid reflux? His pediatrician is trying to determine if my baby boy, which is 3 wks, has reflux of colic. He won’t sleep very long day/ night (max 2.5 hrs per time he sleeps) leaving him and us very sleep deprived. I pump breast milk and sub with soy formula since nothing else worked formula-wise and we’ve tried a few already. Any more suggestions?

Does baby spit up a lot? 
The sleep thing doesnt sound related to reflux to me.. that's actually normal for a newborn. They need to eat often. My daughter would nurse every 2 hrs through the night for a long time. 
She had reflux (turned out to be milk allergy). But when I would lay her down to sleep the milk would start coming back up and she would stir pretty quick within 5 minutes I'd say. So if your baby sleeps 2.5 hours i dont think they are waking up from reflux. 
If your baby can only handle soy formula maybe there is a dairy sensitivity. If you are giving any breastmilk maybe you should try cutting all dairy out if your diet and see if that helps? I'm nursing my now 8month old and I cut out dairy and soy when she was about 2 months (25% of babies with milk intolerance are also intolerant to soy). I ended up adding soy back in around 5 months and she was okay with it. It takes 3-6 weeks to be fully out of your system tho so you may not notice a difference for a while.
