C-Section at38wks?

Question

Is it safe and normal to have a c-section at 38wks? I’m already nervous about and someone just told me it’s not safe to have at 38wks. I have a septic uterus and my doctor is concerned that she won’t be able to turn around (she’s breeched and my cervix is thinning). I’m scheduled for a c-section at 38wks, But is that normal?!

Hi I have a 13 year old son who is very healthy and smart etc and I went to my doctor apt at 37 or 38 weeks can’t remember 
And I had high blood pressure and they told me I had to have a c section that day my son was born and was small 5 pounds but he went home with me after 3 days and everything was good!

With my second kid they told me they could do the c section at 39 with nothing wrong

I was induced at 37 weeks with my son and after 2 days in labor they wound up doing an emergency c-section. He is now a very active and healthy almost 3 year old!

My second c section was scheduled for 36 weeks and this one is scheduled for 37. Totally fine.

I had my c section at 38+1 on June 28th, I'm good! Well recovering of course but doctors wouldn't do it if it wasn't safe.

I had a emergency c-section at 33wks with my 1st he was born 5lb 3oz healthy and happy no problems except for feeding but that’s because he was premie, and had to be tube fed as he didn’t have sucking reflex (they gain this at 35wks). Then I had my second son at 39wks 7lb 3oz and our daughter at 38wks due to medical reasons for myself and her. Every c-section I have had as been amazing no problems and very safe. Don’t worry hun at 38wks baby full term my daughter was born 7lb 3oz at 38wks she was healthy as can be. 😊

I was induced at 37w ended up needing an emergency c section. If I ever decide to have another baby they will be born 37w on the dot via c section there isn’t anything wrong with one at 38w... don’t listen to people everyone always has something to say.
