Is it rude to clean while you’re at someone else’s house?
We stayed overnight at my in laws recently. While I was there I cleaned. I did the dishes, swept, mopped, vacuumed, dusted etc while my MIL was at work. My friend said it was rude, or that I’m implying that their house is dirty. It’s not, I was just trying to help my MIL because she works ALL the time and I felt like it was the least I could do since she bought dinner for us and fed us at her house. Is it rude to clean while you’re a guest somewhere?
I feel like I’ve seen this question here before but I couldn’t find it
