Are there any zero waste parents out there? Need recs!

I was wondering what product recommendations do any zero waste parents have? What products did you dislike? This is my first baby and I want to make sure I am conscious about the purchases I make for my baby and that they are as eco friendly as possible.

We aren't zero waste but we are conscious of our waste. Buying second hand and pre loved is always a good way to go (except for things like carseats obviously) as you aren't creating any more waste, just using what someone else doesn't want.

The main zero waste thing we do in our home are cloth diapers and wipes! 😊
I also made my own baby food when my babe was younger and got reusable pouches you can clean out and reusable jars.

A big one for me is wet bags and snack bags. I like bumkins wet bags and planet wise snack bags. I just find it’s always good to keep an empty wet bag in your diaper bag, whether for diapers or dirty clothes. We’re looking into mason bottles, which are bottle tops that screw onto mason jars, which are easy to find second hand and easy to sterilize. Of course cloth diapers is a given if you want to be zero waste. We use prefolds and Thirsties and flips covers. I use a reusable fleece liner on top of the cotton (just got a yard of fleece and cut them to size), because poop comes off much easier. Cloth wipes are great because you can just roll them up in the diaper and throw them all in the laundry, rather than having to use a trash can in baby’s room.  We use dr. Bronners baby soap and balm. The soap we can get refills at our coop, and the balm comes in a tin, which is recyclable. Even if you can’t get refills, I’d recommend it because it has so many uses and lasts so long. We avoid prepackaged food, like baby food jars and pouches. 
I find a lot of disposable baby gear exists because someone thinks it’s more convenient, but I don’t think most of it is necessary at all— babies existed before mass production after all! 
I’m sure there are other things I’m not thinking of atm. Let me know if there’s something specific you want to replace— I’ve probably researched it at some point!

We aren't zero waste, but try really hard to be as minimally impactful as possible. Second hand clothes, glass bottles, and bambo or eco by naty if you need to do disposable diapers (most daycares won't do cloth).
