When do you put your baby in their crib in their room?

Our son is 11 weeks, I have two daughters 18&16 I always had them from day 1 sleep in their crib , with my son he’s slept in a dock a tot in a bassinet next to me in our room. His bedroom is diagonal from us and I have a baby monitor. My husband thinks he’s too young to put him in his crib I don’t think so ? Thoughts ?

I’m gonna start giving my boy naps in his own room to get him used to it in a few weeks, he’s 12 weeks now so maybe two more weeks then start naps in there and then start getting him to sleep in there while he still fits in the next to me comfortably incase he hates it too much in his own

I moved mine this time around 11 weeks only because he’s a big boy and outgrew his bassinet and was to heavy for the upper part of the pack and play and there was no way I was gonna he able to transfer him asleep to the bottom of the thing! Turns out he slept great in his crib! Way better than the bassinet and within 2 weeks he wasn’t waking up at all at night, doing 10-12 hour stretches. We have a video monitor and an owlet so I felt comfortable with it

With my first he bedshared until 12 months. He couldn’t be transitioned until then. I tried.
With my second, she sleeps through the night and is only 8 weeks so I’m considering switching her. They say to keep them in your room until 6 months but tons of people put them in their own room or crib from day 1. It’s your choice and your husbands and what works for y’all.
