Parent problems
I always feel like I'm just a burden to my parents honestly. I have younger brother and sister. They buy them whatever they ask for. In a span of a month, my parents went with them 3 times in a 4 star hotel, they completly changed the bathroom ( new sink, new toilet, new mirror, new shower, new floor tiles..) and bought a new bed "for me" but i still have to sleep in what is now my brother's room. Every day my sister gets at least one piece of new clothing or a semi expensive doll (around 8Euros I think 🤔 not good with conversion) and my brother almost every day buys something new for his fortnite game. Yesterday my dad bought himself 700euros worth of clothes and my mom even more than that. Now the problem- i live in another city for my university and my parents got me the shittiest aparment ever, if it could be even called that. Its basically living room (where i also sleep) and kitchen in one and a small bathroom. There is never warm water, tap in the sink is broken so it sprays everywhere, tiles are broken in the kitchen, my refridgerator is making everything turn in ice, etc. I'm a huge language fan but my parents don't want to buy me not even one book, even if i offer to pay half. I speak 6 languages and I would like to get a certificate for at least one of them because no one will employ me just by me saying Look i speak 6 languages. So today I asked them If I could apply for proficiency exam this summer. My father just yelled at me how they spend so much money on me already, if i want to do language courses so much i should just quit my current university and come to the one in family town so they wouldnt have to spend money on me, that i can go only if its free and to stop searching for summer schools and similar cuz theyre not gonna pay for it. Because I decided on my major quite late, i couldnt go to the one in home town and he knows that. He knows also that if i want to switch universities wed have to pay more than 1000 euros for me to do that (my current university is free, thats how this country works, and i'm top student in both of my majors). They pay for my rent, yes, but thats all they do basically. Before i met my boyfriend, i would eat 2 meals a day, and one was always rice with eggs because that's all i could afford with 50 euros i get per month (that's the most I got). Funny thing is, they pretend it's them giving me money when it's my grandpa most of the time. I have to pay for my books, print out materials and buy food, all with 50 euros per month. Just one of my subjects costed me around 25 euros to get books. I currently live with my boyfriend during the school year, he pays rent for both of us since i dont have money for not even 1/5 of it, he often buys food for us and even gives me some little money to have in case i don't want to always walk 45mins home from the city. He even bought me a little dwarf hamster to cheer me up during my exam period. Still my parents hate him because he doesn't have university. This is the end of my rant. Thank you for listening.
