Bumbo seat or sit me up floor seat?

I can’t decide if I want to add a bumbo seat to my registry or a sit me up floor seat.

Neither- your baby is better off being flat on the floor until they can sit up on their own. It’s best for babies’ development to minimize time spent in “gear” (chairs, swings, bouncy seats)

The bumbo is the worst for development. They shouldn’t be placed in anything but the sit-me-up is better if you absolutely have to put them in something.

We were given the sit me up from a friend who loved it. I think our son is either too young still or just doesnt like them because he won't sit there for more than a minute.

If you really want one get a sit me up. The bumbos suck. My son was a skinny baby and his legs never fit in it. We just used a vibrating chair until he could sit up on his own and then he was in a high chair

Bumbo seats are absolutely no good for baby's back, hips, spine and muscle development. Nor does it learn baby how to sit. 
Baby will learn to sit, so no need to rush it.
