My 8 week old son sleeps through the night now. I breastfeed..should I be waking up to pump or just feed on demand?

I don’t want my supply to get bad since my son sleeps through the night for 9–10 hours !

I’m so jealous!!! That’s great! I’m also breastfeeding, but we’re not getting more than 4 hour stretches.

I pumped once in the night with my first because it was an easy way to build a stash for when I went back to work. Also my lactation consultant recommended i shouldn't go longer than 6 hrs with expressing some milk, either by hand, pump, or feed. But that's because my supply dipped when she started sleeping 10hr stretches. That doesn't happen to everyone though and it came right back up when I started pumping.

My daughter sleeps through the night majority of nights and I've been feeding on demand ever since she was born (almost 7 weeks). I did the same with my first born. Never was waking up to pump. Feeding on demand always worked for me. Our bodies are amazing. Enjoy your sleep! You'll be fine.

Woah so lucky! Maybe pump if you wake up naturally and you feel uncomfortable due to being so full
