Sacral Dimple??

We were told our boy has a sacral dimple, only issue is it’s so deep and there a spot that’s white and looks dirty but no matter how I try to clean it I can’t see the skin. (That’s why he looks wet here is I had just tried to rinse his bottom) anyone else’s baby have one? Should we look into it more? I feel so bad for him because it’s hard to keep clean and I’m sure it’s not comfortable for him.

Maybe gently clean it w a q-tip and water?

Have they done a scan to look at his spine? It may be nothing but its best to be sure.

My son had one and he had an ultrasound to make sure it was not spina bifida because they couldn’t see if it was closed. Just try to keep it as clean as possible. Our sons ended up not being so deep several months later so it is much easier to clean

My daughter has a sacral dimple. After birth, her pediatrician did imaging on her to make sure she doesn't have spina bifida. Thankfully, she is healthy and we just make sure to clean it well after she has a bowel movement.

I have one and so does my son. Mine’s never bothered me and isn’t that deep now. I make sure to pay extra attention to my son’s when I’m cleaning him up.

My son has one that looks just like it. The doctor was never worried about it and it’s gotten less noticeable the bigger he gets. Turns out I have one too and never even noticed, my mom saw his and said you had that too! The only thing I make sure to do is wipe it out during diaper changes, but it’s never bothered him.
