Toddler bed, pillow, blanket?

Question

Who is transitioning their baby in a toddler bed? I am thinking of doing it when she turns 2 years old. Do you give them a pillow and comforter blanket?

We transitioned our daughter about 2 months ago because we have another baby coming and wanted her to be prepared. She is in a toddler bed with a small pillow and blanket, as well as a stuffed animal and water cup! She’s done great. She doesn’t get out of bed at all (yet).

about 3 months ago my son started leaning his belly against the crib rail and picking his feet up where he could teeter back and forth over the rail... i was so afraid he would fall on his head so we dropped his mattress to the floor inside his crib... that lasted about a month until he got his foot stuck between the mattress and crib and couldnt get it out on his own... the next day i converted his crib to a toddler bed and gave him a pillow for the first time. he's had a small blanket since he was about 10-11 months old... he LOVES his big boy bed. when it starts getting close to nap time he puts himself to bed. he loves crawling up in it at night to go to sleep. sleeps all night long with no issues what so ever..... now if hes not sleepy and we try to ask him to go to bed he may try to get out of bed 2 or 3 times but all i have to do is say "get back in bed, its sleepy time" and he crawls right back up there.

We removed the barrier from DD cot and converted it to a bed. We thought it would give her a bit more free will to go to bed on her own accord. Didn't quite turn out as planned. She was so excited she could get in and out, she spent the next few evenings exercising her new found freedoms. Barrier is back up now and regular sleep patterns have been restored. Will try again in another couple of month

We switched my daughter a few weeks ago, because I am due with her baby brother this month and I wanted to do the transition NOW instead of right before we need the crib again. She has 4 small blankets, 2 small and 1 normal sized pillow, and a million stuffed animals.
It went surprisingly well. I don't think she realizes that she can get down when its naptime and bedtime, she stays in bed until after she wakes up, which is super awesome.

Mine was climbing out of his crib, so we transitioned him into a toddler bed now. We gave him a small pillow that’s his size and kept using his baby blankets for him. We also have him a teddy bear to hold while he sleeps.

We converted the crib to a toddler bed for my son back in May. He sleeps with a flat pillow but he doesn’t like blankets. He has a loosely knitted one on the bed just in case. Since we made the transition, & weaned in May as well, he now sleeps fully through the night 9p-ish to 7a. 
We are currently pregnant with baby #2 so getting him a twin bed around his birthday so the crib will be vacant by February for the new baby.

Tonight is our first night in a toddler bed! My son started climbing out of his crib so it was time. I thought it was going to be really rough, but he only got up 1 time and then laid right back down and went to sleep.
