Pack n play?

Do any of you mommas have their baby sleep in a pack n play over night? 
Our crib broke a while ago, so our 5 month old has been sleeping with us, but I miss my bed to ourselves lol. 
How was the transition?

Pack and plays are great and safe for overnight sleep (as long as you don’t go adding any additional mattresses). We used one with our daughter for most of the first year of her life. And we still use them when traveling.

My baby has been sleeping in her pick n play since she was released from the hospital. But I did buy her a mattress for it and she LOVES it.

Yep my son slept in one from birth to 6 months

Both my kiddos slept in a pack and play for the first few months. My son stayed in it until 9-10 months because he was horrible with sleeping. My daughter was 5-6 months because honestly, I just wanted my bedroom back.

We used a pack’n’play for the first six months and recently on vacation at 12 months. That’s what they’re made for!

Our baby girl has slept in the pack n play since birth but would only nap on us. We need her to be able to sleep without being held before she starts daycare on the 23rd so we have been going through a transition as well but are a bit ahead of the game as she already sleeps in it overnight. We use the MamaDoo mattress which is firm but thicker and provides more support but doesn't leave any unsafe gaps between the edge of the mattress and the pack n play walls. So far we have stretched her from refusing to nap alone to waking up after 20 min to waking after 40ish. If she is tired we just start back at the top of the routine and can get another 40 min cycle or maybe two. Does your baby nap in the pack n play but just won't do nights?

I’m trying to transition my 8.5 month old from my bed to her pack and play currently. She’s not quite feeling it lol. I don’t wanna spend the money on a crib if she just refuses to sleep without me

My son had slept in the pack n play since birth. Slept 8+ hours since right before 2 months old.

Personally I think pack and plays should just be used for travel or temporary and playing during the day 
You can get nice matresses for them if you want it long term I just don't see why anyone would want that
