We had a really small wedding on public property by the waterfront! 😂 we went for supper afterwards with Everyone who attended (16 guests) and my dad paid for the food, husband's parents paid for booze at supper and my hair/makeup appt. My husband and I paid for our hotel for the weekend, our justice of the peace and our photographer

All of us. We  (hubby & I) paid for dresses (2)  and tux, accessories, the dj, the cake, and some minor things, as well as our hotel stay. My dad gave me a good portion for the venue ($10k), I paid for the deposit and tax. My in-laws paid for the rehearsal dinner for us and all out of towners, all the flowers/flower arrangements, and grooms cake. My venue was $13k. They had the rehearsal dinner at the venue, not sure of the cost but it was pricey. The DJ was $2400, cake was $750. I had two dresses, the first was $800, and a month later I got in a  car accident and hurt my back, the dress was too heavy, so I got a cute dress from Davids Bridal clearance section for $150. My wedding was small, about 45 people, but as a chef the food was important to me so most of the cost of the venue went towards the food, about $8k out of the 13k. It had open bar, included the table, linens, chairs both at the ceremony and reception. 
 This was when the market crashed in FL in 2011 so everything was cheap, the same wedding would probably cost three times as much.
