what do you pack your freezer with before the baby is here?

Question

I am thinking about buying or making frozen food in case I won't have time to cook once the LO is here. Just don't know what I should buy? Any ideas?

I made lasagna, enchiladas, a couple casseroles, a potato dish to go with the ham I have frozen, cooked ground beef (make spaghetti easier), cooked ground beef with taco seasoning.  I bought breads, muffins, sandwich meat, cheese, carne asada, chicken breasts, milk and have all that frozen.  Plus we got extra Costco TP, paper towels, paper plates and cups - and we stocked up the pantry, so we have food for a month without any major shopping needed.  Did the same with my son, and it was so nice!!!  We will be able to spend our time focused on the baby and our preschooler, and minimize meals/dishes/shopping... 😊

I have a toddler and my mil will stay with her while we are in the hospital. I made whole wheat blueberry pancakes for her breakfast, along with a variety of muffins for my MIL and for when my mom comes. This weekend I'm making meatballs and red sauce, 2 soups, and a crock pot full of pulled chicken to divide and season for different things. I am also going to make a lasagna and a chicken broccoli casserole, and some whole wheat pizza dough. Hope that helps.

I looked up a bunch of crockpot meals on Pinterest. I've made several for practice in the past few months. I'm going to keep working on more in the next couple weeks. We have a lot of wild game in the freezer so I'm using a lot of beef recipies

My stepmom is making us a ton of (mostly Mexican) comfort foods. I'm going to be working on crock pot frozen dump dinners and we will probably stock the pantry with easy microwaveable soups (like the chef boyardee/Campbell's) cups for easy little meals for bf while at work. I'll have to find something or see if family will come over bc we don't have a microwave and right now I don't have the space for one.

I've made muffins, lentil soup, spaghetti sauce, and a potato chowder. Also our neighbors in our townhouse unit are organizing a meal delivery schedule when bambino arrives. We feel super lucky!

There are a lot of crock pot freezer meals you can look up. So far I froze some chili, muffins, and a coffee cake but I also plan to freeze chicken pot pies, chicken and wild rice soup, split pea soup, lasagna, taco meat, cookies,  and a few other dishes I've looked up. My MIL said she would bring us some of her spaghetti sauce and maybe her pasties. We also put freezer meals as a gift option for our shower this weekend so we may get a few more things then. I too plan to stock up on all our tp, papertowels, laundry soap, dishwasher soap, etc. Hopefully for the first 4-6 weeks the only groceries we'll need will be fruits, veggies, milk, cheese, and things like that which I can easily send hubby out to get,
