Alright, LO will be 3 weeks tomorrow...I’m a first time mom and honestly I expected to not be bleeding any more at this point. Every friend or family member that has had babies all have stopped bleeding at the two week mark. Any other breastfeeding moms still bleeding at 3 weeks? I don’t have any pain, occasionally there is some soreness down there at the end of the day but I think it’s just the pressure from sitting down so much to nurse. I don’t feel quite the same down there any more, but I had to have stitches so I’m sure it’s just gonna be that way. I don’t necessarily feel like anything is wrong-but I just don’t know if it’s “normal” to still be bleeding at this point. It is never heavy, and I will only ever have a tiny little bit in a pad-but it’s there when I wipe and like once every few days when I use the restroom there will be some blood in the toilet. Is this just because I’m breastfeeding that it’s taking longer? I only ever feel like I’m bleeding after he finishes nursing like it makes my body release more blood.? I go in for my 2 week postpartum visit this Friday (at 3.5 weeks) and I for sure will ask her when I go, but i just want to be prepared in case this isn’t normal and I have to have some emergency surgery or something to stop the bleeding if I shouldn’t still be bleeding at this point.

Maybe am I doing too much during the day and that’s why I’m still bleeding? I wasn’t given any restrictions at all (other than sex) but was just told to trust my body-if I get tired stop and rest. Other than that I’m good for my normal every day life.
