my boyfriend and i have been using condoms since we first started having sex. we want to try using no condom. i’m on birth control aswell. should we try it?

This is something you have to decide for yourself. The two most important factors are getting pregnant and getting and STD/STI. Taking the pill responsibly means taking it every day, at the same time, and not eating foods or other medications that can counteract the pill. If you are super responsible about taking it, than there’s so little risk of getting pregnant. But since there’s a tiny risk and most women aren’t that diligent, you could get pregnant. However low the chance, you have to decide if you’d be ok with the consequence or joy of getting pregnant if that happens. I’d get yourself and your partner tested for STDs/STIs first but do a lot of research and ask a bunch of questions cause they don’t screen for many things you’d think they do. That means even with a clean test, there are things that you and your partner could be giving to each other. Some people swear condoms are the worst while many don’t actually mind. I’ve read studies that for the man, it’s about moisture so it suggested putting some lube inside the condom. For women, many can’t tell but for those who can it often seems to be about the material. Try different condoms to see if you’re allergic or just like the feel of another better. What I’m trying to communicate is that there are all kinds of preferences and beliefs and so you have to figure out what works for you. Sex can be ruined by both partners not having a full experience but it can be ruined by babies and STDs. Play the long game.

My partner and I will occasionally not use condoms in the beginning, but we always have him put one on before we finish just a precaution. Try it! But I’d advise finishing with one just to be safe.

Me and my boyfriend use condoms regardless! I’m on the implant bc and I’m just terrified to have a kid right now so no matter how uncomfortable the condoms are we are going to keep using them. For the first year and a bit, my boyfriend and i used a condom and never had problems. im now on the patch, but what we do is we start off with no condom and when he feels that he’s going to cum, he puts a condom on. its our way of being extra safe😊

I personally hate condoms so me and my man rarely use them. When I had the IUD, he used to bust in me all the time too, now that I’m just back on the pill, sometimes he pulls out and sometimes he doesn’t. As long as you’re taking it properly you should be fine but I’d recommend having him at least pull out while you get used to it. But I’d you’re comfortable enough with him and std/sti’s aren’t a concern then go for it

Do it! It's so much better with condoms. I've been on the pill 7 months now, he finishes in me every time. We used a condom twice before I got on the pill and they're just awful things. It felt so uncomfortable for me and it looked painful on him!

As stupid as this sounds me and my bf used a condom once and don’t ever use one anymore I’m not even on birth control he just pulls out so if you’re on birth control and still scared just let him pull out.
